Surprise in Bambang

We headed to Bambang for church one Sunday morning and were surprised to see one of our former missionaries visiting--Brother Magsanoc! When we sat down people started whispering to us that another one of our dear missionaries was also coming that day--Brother Thomas who is in the Philippines doing a service project with a group of other Harvard students. He came a week early so he could travel back and visit some of the areas where he served. It was such a treat to see both of these dear young men and catch up a little with what they've been doing since they left the mission field.

 Brother Magsanoc left the mission last May. It was so good to see him!

 This is one of the strong pioneer families from Bambang. The grandparents are service missionaries serving at the ERC in Santiago. They joined the church in the late 80s and now their children are married and raising their families in the gospel. They are wonderful people!

While in Bambang we had to go visit one of our dear friends. This precious sister couldn't make it to church because she had to finish up her family's wash so that she could get on a bus and travel to another province to attend a funeral for a relative. We were so happy to see her.
