The time for Elder Huffstutler to return home was drawing near and so we followed our tradition and asked him to chose a favorite meal for President and I to fix and who to invite to come and eat it with him. He decided to have President's Chicken Cacciatore and to invite his current zone to come and dine with him. Those lucky missionaries in Cauayan Zone were all invited to come over on a Sunday afternoon. It is just a small way we can thank our assistants for their great service.
Elder Huffstutler served as an assistant for over 7 months and during that time we truly came to love and appreciate him. He is just naturally helpful. We laughed a few times when he would check on us in the evening to make sure we were okay. Once President told me, "Elder Huffstutler is really a mother hen--he's always looking out for us!" We will forever remember that boy from Alabama, with the funny accent.
