Final Zone Conferences!

This is truly the season for lasts--we are honestly trying to keep in the "denial" mode and just proceed as if we have lots of time left in the mission. But once in a while reality-grips us and we stop and say, "this is our last." For our final Zone Conference we divided the mission in half and had multi-zone conferences on 2 days. We focused on the following topics:Using Time Wisely; Harnessing the Power of the Members; Finding; and Teaching the Less Actives. This was a hodgepodge of topics but ones that were emphasized at our recent Mission President's Seminar in Manila. President taught using time wisely and teaching the less actives. I focused on working with members and the assistants taught the finding segment. It was all great information.

The best part about Zone Conferences? Spending time with the fantastic missionaries serving in the Philippines Cauayan Mission...

 Elder Samar and Elder Landeen sang a gorgeous duet! We've heard Elder Samar many times before and love his voice but we'd never heard Elder Landeen before--he's been hiding that great talent!

 I love how the assistants added a little fun along the way!

 Our Mission Ukay Ukay (we have been saving good clothes from departing missionaries to redistribute to missionaries who may need  a new shirt or outfit) We set up our own Ukay Ukay shop where the price was right--free. Missionaries could take for themselves or an outfit for one or two of their investigators.

 Food was made by a wonderful local member who has a restaurant and does the best BBQ in the area!

 We celebrated the April, May and June birthdays and all got their own "The Cook of Mormon" apron.
