Are You Healthy? Physically, Financially? Time for Some Specialized Training!

On May 15 and 16, Elder and Sister Jackson visited our mission! Elder Jackson is our AMA (Area Medical Authority who is stationed in Manila). Our missionaries were invited to come, on different days depending on where they were serving and listen to this wonderful couple share their insights about becoming a healthier you! Elder Jackson shared comments about the connection between a physically healthy body and a spiritually healthy body. Missionaries came with a health question for Elder Jackson during our Question and Answer Segment. We heard lots of interesting questions.
Our physical health section was followed by a budgeting class--but believe me this was anything but a class! Instead it was a learning activity that was done within their districts. We asked the missionaries, "How’s your budget? Do you have plenty of money at the end of the month?"


This activity offered some techniques to STRETCH their pesos. (The budget bandit and frugal fairy were there to share some tips!)

What is it? It's proof that President's assistants are real men! Otherwise they would never dress up as the frugal fairy (Elder Ilagan) and the budget bandit (Elder Nielsen). What great sports!

Each district was given a wallet with play pesos equaling what they get for one support withdrawal.  The frugal fairy offers healty budgeting tips while the budget bandit tried to get districts to waste their money.

 Districts try to figure out what they can do with the budgeting problem they are facing.

These meetings are a way to train our missionaries and connect with missionaries. Looks like Elder Rumbaoa has drawn a fat version of President Carlos, who by the way has lost a lot of weigth!
