Once in a while we stop by to visit missionaries in their apartments. Often these visits are spontaneous as was the case on the day we visited Elder Landeen and Elder Hawlader (our new missionary from Bangladesh). We happened to be going through their town and knew that both elders had been a little sick. So we decided to drop by during their study time and check on them.
We were so happy to see them dressed as missionaries busy doing their companionship study. Their apartment was clean and orderly. The floor was shiny, the dishes were done and the kitchen counters were spotless. But the real proof is always in the fridge. We can learn a lot about missionaries by opening up their fridges. Generally the elders fridges have water and a few leftovers. We were shocked to see all kinds of healthy foods, neatly placed in the fridge. We could tell that they cook many of their meals (which is something we encourage our missionaries to do). And we could tell they were eating healthy foods.
We love all our missionaries-but felt like proud parents when we saw how much pride these two take in keeping their apartment spic and span! Great job elders!
Look at all this healthy food neatly placed in their fridge!
