Ilagan Zone Meetings

Ilagan Zone was hit really hard by the Typhoon. Their entire district is still out of power and most don't have running water. (When the electricity is off most of the pumps don't work.) But again, they seem to be fairing well under the circumstances.

This is our threesome. We have an odd number of sister missionaries right now so Sister Valdoz, Sister Baladjay and Sister Eveland are all companions. Of all our sisters, these three have been affected most by the storm. They had to relocate into an elders apartment for several weeks (the elders were moved, of course) and now we've had so much rain their apartment is flooded. Sister Eveland says she is the camper in her family! Oh, how we love and appreciate her great attitude! We pray that some normalcy will come to their area.

Zone leaders are Elder Miller and Elder Bates. The huge government building next door to their apartment lost it's entire roof during the typhoon. These elders were upstairs looking out and when they saw the roof flying off they decided to run to the stake center for protection. They still aren't back in their apartment and are living with two other elders at the edge of town.
