Matt Brown and his wife recently surprised Elder Hale. Matt had served a mission here over ten years ago. He lives in Elder Hale's ward and teaches at his old high school. Brother Brown and his wife decided to trek through the Philippines and stopped by the mission office to personally deliver some beef jerky to Elder Hale. We had fun visiting with him about the good ole days when this mission was known as the Philippines Ilagan Mission. Matt served right here in Cauayan back when the Mission Home was just a big empty field. He was able to visit with several families that he taught back then and was thrilled to find out that they were still active in the church.
