The Bagyo that wasn't much of a Bagyo

The tagalog word for typhoon is bagyo. We got an alert from the church that a possible level 3 typhoon was headed our way. We felt strong winds and rain. We moved a number of missionaries to higher ground. The sisters serving in Alinguigan (the town with a chapel on stilts) always is the first to flood so those sisters came to the Mission Home for one night. Then they went up to Cabatuan to work with the sisters there. That evening Sister Shaner had a dilemma, she was supposed to teach a class on Fettucine Alfredo to a bunch of women in Roxas. She had all the ingredients ready to go when they cancelled the event due to the weather. So she invited us all over to their new home to help her eat it. The four sisters (two from Alinguigan) the Russells (the Shaner's neighbors), the Breeses and President and I were happy to help her out and by the way, it was fantastic.
We had more fun listening to these darling sister missionaries giggle and enjoy each other's company!
