Elder and Sister Russell arrived in early February. We are so excited to have them come to serve in the Philippines Cauayan Mission. Both have great leadership experience. They are from Salem, Oregon. (The same stake as the Larsons and our old stake when we lived there.) We are so very grateful that the Lord saw fit to send us another fantastic couple. Elder Russell was just released as the bishop of the single's ward there in Salem. Sister Russell was the stake Relief Society president during the time I served as the ward Relief Society president. I still remember some of the great things that I learned from her.
They are living about 15 minutes from the mission home in a little town called, Cabatuan. It has it's own branch there. They live in a large, (once very fancy) home with the elders living in a little cottage at the front of the lot. Before they arrived we had a service project with most of the Cauayan Zone missionaries. We wanted everything to be just right before they arrived.

The Russells will be overseeing all the missionary apartments. That is a huge job as we rent over 60 different apartments. We are so happy they have arrived!
