We recently had the privilege of having Elder Donald L. Hallstrom, Presidency of the Seventy, and his wonderful wife as well as Elder Teh, our Area President and his wife come to our mission. They held two sessions with our missionaries. We split the mission in half and met in Cauayan one day and then in Tuguegarao the next day. Each evening they met with YSAs and conducted a devotional. In Cauayan we had over 800 Young Single Adults come and listen to their messages. We also we able to host a luncheon for them with all our couple missionaries. Unfortunately we didn't take any photos during these special events.
These are two fantastic leaders and their insights and ideas truly blessed our corps of missionaries. Their wives are also powerful speakers who touched our hearts with their messages as well.
We so appreciate these church leaders who were willing to travel way out here in the Provinces to bless our mission. It's always a little scary to have these guests come because of our undependable airport. With only 3 flights a week we often get canceled flights and people get "stuck." We are so grateful that the weather cooperated and all was well!
Elder Needs and Elder Ilagan, our current assistants to the president were able to meet them and visit with them a little.
