We brought in the May and June departing missionaries for their one-day Career Workshop this time led b y Elder and Sister Kiholm who are service missionaries here working at the Employment Resource Center in Santiago.
The missionaries are led through a valuable course that helps them define who they are and what their goals are and to link the work they have been doing on the mission to job skills. Think about it--missionaries know how to set goals, work with a variety of people, they take direction, they stay on schedule, they problem solve, they teach and train others, they budget, they organize events. The list goes on and on and those experiences will help them land better jobs if they can verbalize what they've been doing.
We are so proud of all of these soon to be departing missionaries and believe they have bright futures. Some have already graduated from college and are looking to start their careers, some are in the middle of their schooling and some will begin their studies when they return home.

Sister Carlos Thank you for your blog it is wonderful. My daughter just received her call to serve in your mission. She will enter the MTC on July 31. I was wondering if you could help us find a recently returned sister missionary that we could email to get some good ideas about things to bring, clothes to buy etc. The guidelines are not too specific.
